About Me
I’m an emerging technology governance and accountability expert with a focus on responsible AI. I drive translational and transformational efforts from strategy through delivery. My work sits at the crossroads of law, policy, research, and practice, and I bring to the table a strong research and editorial background, a global perspective, and a focus on societal impact and harm reduction. Curious by nature, I quickly comprehend new topics and love a challenging, complex problem in need of a solution.
Since 2016, I’ve been a responsible AI researcher and practitioner. Currently, I drive responsible AI governance and accountability efforts at Meta. I also spent time at Google working on AI Principles governance and machine learning fairness product applications after completing a master’s degree at Georgetown focused on AI governance and accountability.
Prior to returning to student life, I worked in international affairs for ten years. Most recently, I was the editorial director at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, an award-winning think tank that helps to shape policy around the world. I graduated magna cum laude and have bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and German from the University of Pennsylvania, where I was a first-generation, low-income student.
